Summer Scholars

Summer Scholars 2025

Summer Scholars is our summer academic program designed to help bolster skills for our youngest learners and help with credit retrieval for our high school students.

Program Information

Summer Scholars run from June to August 2025. There is no cost to participate. Note: There are no summer programs for grades 3–8 in 2025.

Elementary (grades K–2)

  • Location: Lacey Elementary
  • July 7–August 7, 2025 (5 weeks), Monday–Thursday, 8:30 am–12:30 pm
  • Enrollment for summer 2025 is now closed.

High School (grades 9-12)

  • Location: Timberline High School
  • June 30–August 7 (5.5 weeks) (no school July 3 & 4)
    • Monday–Thursday, 7:45–11:45 am (in two sessions, 7:45–9:35 am and 9:45–11:35 am)

Other Details

  • The program is FREE for NTPS families.
  • NTPS bus transportation is offered (must register for the bus in the application by May 16, 2025, for elementary and May 31, 2025, for high school if the application is still open)
    • Elementary: from student's home bus stop
    • High School: from student's home middle school
  • Breakfast & lunch are provided.

Summer Scholars Transportation

Summer Scholars transportation depends on the grade level. Grades 9-12 utilize a shuttle system running from NTPS middle schools, and grade K-2 students use a neighborhood bus stop.

Students should arrive at their bus stop at least 5 minutes early. Exact pickup and drop-off times will be available in SMART tag beginning June 20, 2025.

Grades K–2

Elementary students will utilize a bus that runs from a neighborhood bus stop. Times for pick-up and drop-off will be available in SMART tag. The bus will travel to Lacey Elementary.

Grades 9–12

This shuttle runs between middle schools & Timberline High School. Pickup and drop-off locations will be available in SMART tag.
