Summer Scholars

Summer Scholars is our summer academic program designed to bolster skills for our youngest learners and support credit retrieval for our high school students.

Program Information

Elementary & Middle School (grades K–8)

  • Online, self-guided program with optional in-person and virtual support sessions.
  • Designed for families to guide student learning in English language arts and math with the provided platforms and pacing, but with enough flexibility to fit a family's summer schedule.
  • July 6–30, 2026, Monday–Thursday, with flexible scheduling each week.
  • Internet access hotspots and Chromebooks are available for checkout if needed.
  • The program is FREE for NTPS families.
  • Enrollment is invitation-only

High School (grades 9–12)

  • Cost: $75 per student for retrieval or advancement ($50 for those with an eligible Child Nutrition Application on file or no fee if eligible for McKinney-Vento services)
  • Upon successful completion and credit earned, $25 of the fee may be reimbursed
  • Location: Timberline High School
  • July 6–August 11, 2026
    • Monday–Thursday, in two sessions, 7:45–9:35 am and 9:45–11:35 am

  • NTPS bus transportation is offered for high school Summer Scholars (must register for the bus by enrolling in Summer Scholars by May 22, 2026)
  • Buses pick up and drop off at the student's nearest middle school
  • Breakfast & lunch are provided.
  • Students must work with their counselor to choose classes.

Summer Scholars Transportation

Summer Scholars transportation for grades 9-12 utilize a shuttle system running from NTPS middle schools.

Students should arrive at their bus stop at least 5 minutes early. Exact pickup and drop-off times will be available in SMART tag beginning June 20, 2026.

This shuttle runs between middle schools & Timberline High School. Pickup and drop-off locations will be available in SMART tag.
