Work-Based Learning
Work-based learning is a learning experience for students at an employer's worksite. While on the job, a student's learning experience consists of four elements:
- A planned program of job training/work experience supporting students' career goals.
- Acquire skills increasing in degree of difficulty.
- Exposure to a broad spectrum of employability skills.
- Development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Students: Contact your school counselor or a work-based learning teacher at your school to determine if you are eligible for the program.
Employers: If you are interested in hiring a student through the work-based learning program or would like to learn more, please contact us at 360-412-4473.
