SUN Bucks

Need help feeding your kids when school is out for the summer?
The SUN Bucks program helps families buy food for their K-12 children during the summer. Families receive $120 per eligible child, similar to the SNAP benefits card.
The SUN Bucks program is operated by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services and the US Department of Agriculture.
The Public Charge rule does not apply to this benefit and will not impact immigration status.
How do I get SUN Bucks?
- Make sure you have a current Child Nutrition application on file (previously called the Free & Reduced Lunch Application). More information about the Child Nutrition Application.
- Families who already receive food benefits such as SNAP, FDPIR, TANF, etc., your school-age children are already eligible for the SUN Bucks program.
