Small Works Roster
The Small Works Roster is a list of licensed contractors who are used for public works bid projects under $350,000. This reduces the cost of bidding on small projects and makes it easier for contractors to compete for public works projects.
Add your business to the roster
- Make sure you are licensed, bonded, insured, registered with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I), and have a WA UBI number: Verify your status with the Department of Labor & Industries
- Be bonded by a surety. There are three types:
- Performance and payment bonds – required on contracts greater than $150,000.
- Bid bonds – required on bid day.
- Retainage bonds – requirements vary.
- Be insured.
- Have a Washington Unified Business Identifier (UBI) number.
- Be bonded by a surety. There are three types:
- Complete the Small Works Roster Application and a W-9 (uploaded with the online application).

- NTPS Construction and Design Department will send bid notifications for potential work opportunities.
- The lowest responsible bidder will be awarded the project.
As a reminder, North Thurston Public Schools requires prevailing wages to be paid on any public works project (RCW 39.12). You and all tiers of your subcontractors will be expected to provide Intents to Pay and Affidavits of Wages Paid forms for all projects.

Architects & Engineers Roster
Register your firm on our licensed Architects and Engineers roster. We encourage licensed architects and engineers, as well as other professionals, including support services in planning, programming, energy, and environmental services, to submit a Statement of Qualifications and be added to the roster.
The Statement of Qualifications should include the following:
- One copy of the firm's state business license that indicates the firm's type of ownership (i.e., domestic profit corporation, public service corporation, sole proprietorship, or partnership)
- One copy of any professional license or Certificate of Authorization required by the state, which allows the firm to provide the consultant services being offered (consultants must be licensed in accordance with RCW 18.08.310, 18.08.370, 18.43.70, and 18.43.100).
- One copy of a Standard Federal 330 Form, Part 1, and any other pertinent data to assist in evaluations.
- One copy, if applicable, of the acknowledgment letter from the Office of Minority and Women's Business Enterprises certifying M/WBE status. This copy of the acknowledgment letter must be attached to the cover letter.
