Technology in Our Schools

For each student, depending on their grade, our classrooms have many technology tools and services to support learning. Secondary students are assigned their own Chromebooks to access these resources at home.

All Students

• Skyward Family Access — the main student information portal (grades, attendance, etc.)
• Clever — a central hub of portals and links for many digital resources.
• Chromebooks — these small laptops are available in classrooms at the elementary level and are assigned individually to secondary students to carry year-round.
• Artificial Intelligence — this new technology has benefits and drawbacks in the classroom
• Digital Citizenship and Media Literacy — resources and more information
• Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) — information about the services we use and the opt-out process
• Qustodio — internet safety and content filter on all Chromebooks. Families have access to reports and history.

Grades Kindergarten–5

• Google Classroom — a learning management system (LMS) that helps teachers manage web resources and activities for students. Families can subscribe to updates.
• Google Apps — documents, slide decks, and more to create and share assignments and other work. Integrated into Google Classroom for ease in submitting work.

Grades 6–12

• Canvas — a teacher-led digital classroom system for secondary students. Families can shadow their student's classes.
• Google Apps — documents, slide decks, and more to create and share assignments. Integrated into Canvas for ease in submitting work.

Family Communication Tools

• ParentSquare — school-to-family, classroom-to-family, and district-to-family communications.
• Peachjar — an electronic bulletin board of district, school, and community flyers.
