New Market, Envision, & TAG

NTPS provides courtesy transportation to the New Market Skills Center (NMSC) in Tumwater. Shuttles pick up students at their high school in the morning and leave NMSC to return at about 10:20 am. The bus for PM/Session 2 leaves at approximately 10:45 am.

No School Days (including inclement weather closures)

• No NMSC transportation

Half Days

• AM/Session 1 – Inbound: from home high school to NMSC. Outbound: Students will be released from NMSC at 9:40 am and returned to their home high school.
• PM/Session 2 – No transportation to or from NMSC.

Early Release Days

• AM/Session 1 – runs normally inbound and outbound
• PM/Session 1 – Inbound transportation to NMSC, but no outbound return transportation

Envision Career Academy (ECA) students either walk or ride their neighborhood high school bus to River Ridge, Timberline, or North Thurston and then catch the ECA shuttle.

• The shuttle leaves from the students' home high school at 7:05 am.
• The shuttle picks up from ECA to transport students to their home high school at 1:30 pm.

Once ECA students return to their home high school campus, they either transfer to a home-bound bus or self-transport home.

If you are interested in receiving AM bus service from a bus stop that is located within one mile of your home to the Talented & Gifted (TAG) program at Lakes Elementary, please fill out the bus registration form yearly and select TAG from the special programs options (students within the walk zone for their neighborhood school will utilize the neighborhood school as their bus stop location).

PM transportation from Lakes is a shuttle system. The students shuttle from Lakes Elementary to their local elementary school by bus, then ride a regular bus route home.
